I attended my first NATSA conference in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to be able to meet and connect with state and federal representatives and private companies and learn about everything going on outside my immediate oversize/overweight and trip/fuel scope. I often get so caught up in just meeting our company’s daily needs so it was refreshing to get a big picture take on everything and get insights and opinions from other industry professionals. The presentations and discussions were thought provoking and informative while also casual and fun.
I especially enjoyed the “Collaborate, Communicate, Lead” presentation by Billy Moyer because I took away lot I can utilize in my daily operations leading my permitting team and in my everyday life. The “Building Business Knowledge” presentation by Chris Mann was also excellent and provided useful information for helping my team continue to prosper and grow together. I would encourage anyone to attend the NATSA conference because it’s always good to challenge ourselves to continue learning and growing to meet the needs of an everchanging industry.
